Day 5 Sunday 2 June

Today, after a typical late start after a long breakfast we caught a local bus out front of the Fairmont (in the hairpin) to the area of Fontvieille. The bus traveled along the Formula 1 and thru one of the many tunnels  in Monaco. We went under the Palace du Palais and the old Fort to arrive at the "Exposition De Voitures Ancienne" or the car collection of the Prince of Monaco.
There were about a hundred cars from a De Dion Bouton 1903 to a Lamborgini Contach 1986 and lots of the classics and race cars in between.
You cant help but notice the millions of dollars worth of cars on the streets as they are everywhere and if you dont get out of the way they will run you over and think nothing of it!
After exploring here we caught another bus, thru another tunnel, back to the main area of Port Hercule, where the "Pits and Start/ Finish line" is and explored the main harbour and all the shops, eventually walking back to our Hotel via various parts of the track and past lots of very expensive shops which were closed thankfully!
We tried to find somewhere to eat later on and decided to explore the hills above our hotel and found a nice quiet little pizza restaurant where we had one pizza and one salad between us and 1 beer and a soft drink and it cost 50 Euros (AUD 65.00) and and we were left hungry and poor!
