Day 13 Monday 10 June

We left the Rhone River tonight and cruise up the Saone after a very pleasant visit to Lyon
and the Burgundy region.

Well we docked in Macon Sur Saone early this morning but Beryl and I decided to sleep in and only got a photo of the dock before we left again at 9am, arriving in Tournus for our last day of the cruise.
The most famous landmark here is the St Philbert Abbey and as we did our own walking tour we, of course, ended up there. A typical ABC.
This was another small fortified town with narrow cobbled streets and quaint old buildings
and we explored most of it before re boarding for lunch and we then sailed for Chalon Sur Saone, our last port of call.
Tonight is the Gala Farewell Dinner and one of our party is also having a birthday so we all will get cake as well as the 5 courses for dinner - What hell!
Our dinner party was made up of 8 out of the original 10 people that we had dinner with on the first night in Monaco.
