Day 18 Saturday 15 June

Yesterday we easily negotiated our way from St Pancras Station to Kings Cross Underground and off to Pimlico and walking the 2-300 meters to our Accommodation.
Dolphin House was once the largest Residential developement in the world under one continuous roof. It is an upper class Apartment complex with the Hotel only being a small part - the rest seems like a retirement village for the upper class elderly. All very nice people. They even have a supermarket, fruit shop ( run by a elderly lady who cant make any money I'm sure) and newspaper shop etc. It is like they are all part of one big elderly family. The Hotel also has upper crust local visitors( like us!).
Some of the wildlife around London (a man)
We could not get away from one lady who wanted to tell us that her and her husband had come to town to attend the celebrations of the Horse guards Parade not far away. It was also the Queens Birthday of course and the crowds at the Palace were epic. We did not go. We did a cruise with commentary from Westminster ( after walking from our Hotel and all round Westminster) to Greenwich for a stroll around the grounds and doing the wonderful market for lunch all in drizzly rain!!!
We then walked under the river in a pedestrian tunnel built before the turn of the 19th century. Then on to the light rail to Tower Hill and went thru small queues into the Tower of London and did the Wardens tour in the rain.
We got to all the features at the Tower including the Crown Jewels, but there were thousands of others there even in the bad weather.
By this time it was about 5pm and we caught a bus to St Paul's Cathedral to walk around it and stopped at a Pub for nachos and a drink before walking to the subway and catching 2 trains back home to collapse into bed.
