Day 22 Wednesday 19 June

Today we leave Exeter for Glastonbury to visit the well known "Tor" or little hill.
Henry the 8th, during his attempt to purge England of the Catholics, had the local Cathedral destroyed and then had the Priest Hung, Drawn, and Quartered in the little building on top of the Tor. He stayed in the local Hotel where he could keep his eye on the Tor. We climbed the Tor and the view is incredible for the full 360 degrees.
Glastonbury is the site for the well known Festival/ Concert in July every year. Because we were on our own personal tour we got to wander around Glastonbury as well as the Tor - normally you choose one or the other.

We continued on to Bath for lunch. This is the site of the famous Roman Baths and is a beautiful town where we spent 2.5 hours in the baths and could have taken longer. As we were in Devon we had Devonshire tea at a little teahouse and even had a piano playing waiter! After that we explored the Bath Abbey next to a square with entertainers trying to get everyones attention.
We finally arrived back in London after some horrific traffic, at about 9pm.
Very good value this tour especially when you are the only ones on it!

We drove around this circular estate in Bath called The Circus

Part of the underground water supply built by the Romans

The very modest Adventist Church

The bathroom in our new apartment at Dolphin House.

We were dropped at the door by our Driver/guide, Rupert after a great tour around the South West country.
