Day 23 Thursday 20 June
Back in London we caught a bus (Beryl prefers above the ground) from Pimlico to West end where we explored Covent
Gardens Market and went on to Trafalgar Square and Nelsons Column which
was just near the National Portrait Gallery and we decided to explore
in there as the weather was not good. We enjoyed the Gallery but it is
just too big to see much and we eventually continued wandering until we
found the Saint Martins Theater to see the 24,244th performance. Its
been going for about 60 years continuously! We did enjoy the show as it
was a murder mystery and entertaining - certainly not slick like today's
shows! Very cosy theater and ornately decorated, all round worth the
money.
Going back home on the bus we were up front and upstairs which was a different experience.
